Fanta unveils three new drinks but fans say one flavour is ‘rotten’

Fizzy drink fans who love Fanta are in for a treat, as the brand has added not one, not two, but three brand new flavours to its line-up in the UK.
As well as classics like Fanta Orange and Fanta Fruit Twist, shoppers will now be able to buy Fanta Apple Zero Sugar, Fanta Raspberry Zero Sugar, and limited-edition Fanta Tutti Frutti Zero Sugar.
The latter is described as a ‘tropical twist’, which contains a mix of banana, peach, and pineapple to create a tutti frutti taste.
But while the idea of a banana-flavoured drink might not appeal to some, it’s surprisingly one of the other flavours that has caused the biggest stir.

People were quick to share their thoughts on the apple drink on Facebook, and they didn’t hold back claiming it was ‘gross’, ‘rotten’, and ‘poison’ in comments on the Food Finds UK Official Page.
Amander Cutter said: ‘Apple Fanta is rotten’, as Lindsay Nicholls agreed, writing: ‘The Apple Fanta is gross.’
And Amanda Wagner-Dimperio felt similarly, posting: ‘That Apple Fanta is absolutely horrid. We had it here last year, they were calling It limited-edition beetlejuice haunted Apple Fanta.’
Others were upset the new drinks were ‘zero sugar’ as they thought the calorie-free range was ‘trash’ and ‘pure poison’.
‘No one wants zero sugar ffs,’ proclaimed Amy Summerscales, as Rose O’keefe admitted: ‘Shame they are sugar-free.’
However, not everyone was opposed to the new drinks, with Emma Harry excited by the raspberry one. She commented: ‘They need to keep raspberry permanently was my fave when they had it out a few years ago.’
And Meena Hoque was intrigued by the tropical flavour, adding: ‘I like a bit of Tutti Frutti.’

The release of these drinks follows the launch of a new and improved taste for Fanta Orange Zero Sugar, which was released in 2024 alongside the brand’s partnership with Warner Bros for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice in September.
Hanna Lauri, Fanta Brand Manager at The Coca-Cola Company said, ‘We’re so excited to bring even more variety to people with three new vibrant additions to the Fanta family.
‘Fanta Apple Zero Sugar, Fanta Raspberry Zero Sugar, and limited-edition Fanta Tutti Frutti Zero Sugar embody our commitment to creating fun, fruity twists that cater to people’s evolving tastes.’
Fanta Apple Zero Sugar and Fanta Raspberry Zero Sugar are available now in major supermarkets across the UK in eight-packs of cans, and in 500ml and 2L bottles.
Fanta Tutti Frutti Zero Sugar will be released in mid-March for a limited time, but will only be sold in a 250ml can.

This comes after Pepsi recently unveiled two new flavours of Pepsi Max in the UK.
Shoppers can now get their hands on Strawberries and Cream and Cream Soda variations of the iconic soft drink, available exclusively in Tesco stores.
The two drinks, sold in cans and bottles, are only around for a limited time though, with Pepsi Max confirming on social media they’ll be on the shelves until March 19 – so you’ll have to be quick if you want to try them.
Those who’ve already managed to get their hands on the new flavours have been absolutely loving them, with people hailing the drinks ‘unreal’, ‘banging’ and ‘epic’.
