Picture the scene – you’re eight years old, playing in the garden on a sunny summer’s day, and your mum has just handed you a Solero. Bliss.

First introduced in 1994, something about that medley of tropical sorbet and vanilla ice cream just hit so right when the mercury started rising.

Well, if you’ve ever (understandably) thought that just one Solero never entirely cut it, we’ve got brilliant news for you.

Not only is it now available in a tub, but it’s teamed up with another luxury ice cream brand to bring you an experience shoppers are describing as a ‘game-changer’.

Enter Carte D’or Solero Ice Cream.

So, what’s the scoop?

Where to buy Carte D’or Solero Ice Cream

The Carte D’or x Solero collab is available now at Iceland for £3.75 for an 825ml tub.

According to the supermarket, the product allows you to ‘Bask in the indulgence of Carte D’Or Solero Exotic Ice Cream.’

The ice cream’s description continues to say: ‘Carte D’Or vanilla ice cream paired with signature Solero fruit sorbet, topped with a tangy Solero Exotic fruit sauce – a vibrant medley of peach, passionfruit, mango and pineapple flavours.’

What are people saying about Carte D’or Solero Ice Cream?

As you might expect, the reviews for the Carte D’or Solero seem overwhelmingly positive.

On the Iceland website, EJ Barnes gave the product five stars, saying ‘Loved every mouthful of this… layers of flavour. Will be a regular buy this summer.’

Daniel Westbury also shared a similar sentiment: ‘Best ice cream in the world. Wow, thank you, Iceland. Boom.’

Social media users are also savouring the prospect of the Carte D’or x Solero collab, with Instagram user @sfrankiemiles commenting on @newfoodsuk page describing it as ‘not a want, a need’ and @shant1987 simply calling it a ‘game-changer’.

@leanne_jdtraining perhaps channelled what most of us were thinking, commenting: ‘I’d eat the full tub tbh’, while @sammiespamaroonie added: ‘That’s a bit of me!’.

Perhaps going further than most, @jennerlamberthill stated: ‘I would snog this ice cream’.

However, it’s not a completely clean sheet for the new product.

Instagrammer @jchesh11 wrote: ‘They literally give us everything but what we actually want’, while @ldn.trini perhaps makes the most valid point by saying: ‘The best part is the outside coating tho. I dunno they didn’t execute it well enough for me.’

However, with summer on the way, it may well be adding a tub of this to the freezer to share… or not.

For those who prefer something savoury to sweet, there’s some good news too as Walkers has just announced a fan-favourite axed product is coming back to the UK.

The crisp giant is bringing back Worcester Sauce flavour crisps, which were axed in 2023.

The ‘god tier’ flavour recently returned to one convenience shop in the West Midlands, leaving those not in the area feeling ‘bereft’.

But the company has apologised for the ‘distress’ they’ve caused and announced that from March 17 the iconic crisps, which feature the flavour of Lea & Perrins sauce, will be available nationwide once more.
